A self-taught painter, Sharon Jones is inspired by the world around her.
My lack of formal training reinforces my feeling that my work is truly my own.

Sharon says, “I am inspired by the world around me.  I can see a bird on a post or an interaction between two people as I drive down the street – something inconsequential – and I can't wait to get home to paint. Like anything else, we never truly quit learning, but my lack of formal training reinforces my feeling that my work is truly my own.”
