You’re Invited!

You’re invited to join us for the opening reception of The Gathering, an exhibition of fine art by the newly formed art group, Quarrier Street Collective.  Come support this group of amazing artists for their first exhibition together! Members of the Quarrier Street Collective include photographers Riley Vann, Betty Rivard, and Bruce Haley and painters Larry Wolfe, Emily Roles, Traci Higginbotham, and Betty McMullen.

Where: Here at Art Emporium on the corner of Quarrier & Hale St.

Her workshop is a hands on approach to creativity, utilizing a variety of materials, collage, drawing, oil pastels, and acrylic painting on canvas. This will be a playful exploration of creativity and the forces that block it. Art experience is not a requirement, but openness and a willingness to try a new approach is. At the end of the session, participants will develop a clear pathway to having a more creative and open future. All materials are included in the workshop cost of $75. We just got a great new product in here at Art Emporium- Wild Women pins from Ou La La Jewelry!

Wild Women pins are bright, colorful, and made entirely by hand in the USA. They are composed of lightweight, bright, colorful fused acrylic resin and come in a variety of styles. My personal favorite is the artist of course!

A card with the following artist’s statement comes with each pin. “Laughter is a great blessing in life, one to be cultivated and expressed often. Laughter is good for your heart and soul. It can be a great gift to others, a helping hand along the way, a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. In celebration of one of God’s greatest gifts, the gift of laughter, I bring you Wild Women pins.”

We would like to thank everyone who joined us here at Art Emporium for Clayton Spangler and Amy Thorton’s gallery opening on August 28th. We had a fantastic turn out, and would like to send a special thanks to Clayton’s wife for her amazing cookie platter!
